HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presides over the final of the first edition of the Polo Throne Cup in Rabat

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided, Sunday at the Polo Club Souissi of the Royal Guard in Rabat, the final of the first edition of the Throne Cup Polo.

The polo team of the Royal Guard won the title of this edition, beating in the final the team of “Patrick Guerrand-Hermès” (PGH) the Palmeraie Polo club of Assila on the score of 5 to 0.
The team of the Royal Guard had beaten in the semi-finals the Royal School of Cavalry of Temara on the score of 5 to 3, while the team of PGH the Palmeraie Polo Club eliminated Jnan Amar Polo Club of Marrakech (10-5).

Upon his arrival at the Souissi Polo Club, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was welcomed by the Major General Commander of the Royal Guard and President of the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation. HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then reviewed a section of the Royal Guard that was performing the honors, before being greeted by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fishing, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, Brigadier General, Inspector of the Cavalry and the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Pre-school and Sports His Royal Highness was also greeted by the wali of the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the president of the council of the region, officers of the organizing committee of the Royal Guard and the presidents of the participating polo clubs.

Thereafter, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan took place in the grandstand, before kicking off the competition. Following this, His Royal Highness attended the final phase of the Throne Cup which pitted the Royal Guard polo team against the PGH la Palmeraie Polo club.

At the end of this sporting event, organized by the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan handed over the Trophy of the first Throne Cup of Polo to the captain of the winning team, before posing for a souvenir photo with the participating clubs.
